Ryten and Kvalvika is an unmatched fusion you can’t afford to miss if you’re going to Lofoten, and it is one of the perfect places to observe the sunset. Hike to Ryten, is one of the most interesting hikes in Lofoten Islands, which is easier compared to other hikes. This mountain peak is located near to the Fredvang town of Moskenesøya. The trail is less steep and less strenuous and the speciality is, views keep changing while you are trailing to the top, so it will make you feel less tiring. The most fascinating part comes, once you reach the summit, which is the view over Kvalvika Beach and that is why this hike has become famous among the travellers. It's a combination of sandy white beach, greenary mountains, and an amazing view towards the horizon...
Distance of this trail is around 8.7 Km for a round trip , and it would nearly take 3-5 hours. The walking path is supported with some wooden bridges where it is difficult to move through some muddy areas. If you go in the morning, you can have a space in the Peat Museum car park to park your vehicle and take the direct route to the top. Also there is another route to the summit via Kvalvika Beach. You can take the trail during late afternoon if you wish to observe the sunset..
